2023-24 Services

  • In-Person Drop-In Services: Structured, educational activities for children aged 12 months to 11 years old while their parent remains on library premises. We will watch children of student parents for up to two hours and forty-five minutes of supervision so student parents can study or work on group projects in Morgan Library. Enrollment documentation is required before use of service.
  • Activity Kits: With children not being able to be in the classroom, it is a lot harder to plan fun activities and have all of the supplies to showcase their creativity. This is why RKV has created weekly activity bags available for pick-up with pre-planned crafts and the supplies needed to make them!
  • Reading Rams: RKV is now a Scholastic FACE partner, allowing us to provide books to families to build their home library. Families can request one Reading Rams Kit per child and they will receive a brand new book, a DIY bookmark kit, a reading log and coloring pages that correlate with their book, and activities to go along with the book (all supplies included to complete the activities).
  • Regular Social Media Content: We will be posting on our social media regularly throughout the semester, so be on the lookout for “Make it Mondays,” “Ram Resource Wednesdays,” and “Family Fridays!” Make it Monday: We will be providing activity tutorials, DIY videos, experiments, and demonstrations for y’all to try at home! Rams Resource Wednesday: We will be sharing resources from the Fort Collins community, highlighting on-campus events, and sharing general resources for parenting. Family Friday: These posts will be geared toward parenting/family development, family activities, or events for families over the weekend. This information can be found on our social media, so give us a follow!
  • Virtual Parent Resource Fair: RKV partnered with different CSU and Fort Collins community partners that student parents can utilize! Check out the ALVS Student Parent landing page and all of these awesome resources!
