About the Program
During this 6-week transition program, new students will learn about creating a successful transition to Colorado State University (CSU). Through self-awareness, reflection, and planning, students will explore different aspects of the transition to a new institution including academic success as well as personal and professional goal setting. These opportunities will expose students to planning for their success at CSU and beyond. This program will also provide a support network for new students to aid in building their community to enrich their first semester transition.
Students will be placed into one large 6 Weeks to Success cohort, along with sub-cohorts determined by their availability that they’ll meet with two times per week. As a participant, students will engage with faculty members, ALVS staff, peer advisors, and campus partners. Each week, students will spend two days (1 hour each day) reviewing curriculum, visiting resources, and reflecting on their transition. Students who successfully complete the program will be awarded a student success stipend.
