What is ALVS’ 6 Weeks to Success?
This 6-week cohort-model transition program serves to help new adult learners navigate their experience at Colorado State University!
- Connect: Be part of a supportive cohort that meets twice weekly.
- Engage: Interact with faculty, staff, peer advisors, and campus partners.
- Learn: Spend two hours per week reviewing curriculum, visiting resources, and planning for success at CSU and beyond.
- 6 Week program beginning Week 2 of classes in the Fall & Spring Semesters. Application Required 15 Spots available/cohort
Bonus: Complete the program and earn an award to the CSU Bookstore!

What is ALVS’ Elevate Bridge Program?
This program is designed to ease nontraditional students’ transition into Colorado State University (CSU) by providing academic support through Math & English/Comp instruction, social engagement opportunities, and introduction to campus resources needed to be successful on CSU’s campus.

- A stipend for completing the program: $2,000.
- On-Campus parking for the duration of the program.
- 4 Week Summer Bridge Program with Writing and Math focus for Adult Learners, Student Veterans, and Student Parents. Last two weeks of July and first two weeks of August. Application Required 20 spots available/cohort
What is IU-172?
In this 1-credit course, discover how to navigate your transition to CSU with confidence. Through self-reflection, goal-setting, and strategic planning – build a roadmap for academic, personal, and professional success. Gain a support network, connect with fellow ALVS students, and enrich your first semester. Classes meet twice a week for 8 weeks for just 50 minutes each!
