Support Systems at CSU
Planned Leave at CSU
Planned Leave at CSU – Student Case Management | Office of the Registrar
Opportunity to get time off for extended periods postpartum. Unlike “stopping-out,” Planned Leave allows students to maintain enrollment eligibility without having to pursue the readmission process.
Requirements:
- The deadline to request Planned Leave is 12:00 PM MST (Noon) on the Thursday prior to the start of classes each term.
- Must have been enrolled as a degree-seeking student for at least one semester prior to requesting Planned Leave.
- Must have approval of designated departments in specialized cases (refer to Impacts for NCAA D1 Athletes and Impacts for International Students)
ALVS Parenting Student Meet Ups
The ALVS has heard from a lot of families that there is an interest to meet other pregnant, parenting, and caregiving students. Join us in community to connect with folx in a low-pressure and informal environment! We welcome and encourage everyone, no matter how you identify or how others perceive you, to participate in our space.

Community Support Systems
Project Self Sufficiency
Project Self-Sufficiency supports low-income, single parents financially from academic scholarships, childcare support, food pantries, computer loans, and so much more. Additionally, the program has advisors that help these parents create a career plan, complete any education needed for their career, and find their first job.

Women Give
WomenGive is a scholarship that provides financial assistance for child care services to single mothers during their time at school. The scholarship covers child care services throughout spring break, finals week, but not winter break or gaps between semesters. The application process is simple and easy to follow and can be found on the website.

Boys and Girls Club Larimer County
Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County is a comprehensive, facility-based, after-school and summer program that includes meals, positive youth development programming, and mentoring for the lowest cost in Larimer County.

Working alongside diverse families La Familia provides high quality childcare and supportive services, with an emphasis on cultural attunement with the Latinx community.

The CSU Center for Family and Couples Therapy is located on CSU’s campus and uses evidence-based therapies to treat a wide range of individual, couple, and family issues.
