She/Her

Ashley Armbruster is a 5th year mathematics graduate student. Her research currently centers on the teaching and learning of undergraduate mathematics through an embodied cognition lens and how to best use AI in those spaces. In particular, she is focusing on the role AI can play in learning and creating mathematical proofs. She earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a focus in secondary education from Frostburg State University, a small school in Western Maryland. In her teaching, she aims to help students gain confidence in their mathematical abilities and find some joy in mathematics. Outside of math, Ashley enjoys baking desserts, such as strawberry cheesecake cupcakes, and biking around town.
