Nicci Guagliardo (she/her) is Peer Advisor for Graduate Students in a role shared between The Grad School and ALVS at Colorado State University. She is a student in the MFA Poetry program and is here to help you navigate the sometimes scary and choppy waters of Masters and PhD. work.

Nicci holds a BA in English from CSU-P, an MBA from CSU-P and a PhD. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Denver. She taught high school language arts for 30 years, and taught pre-service educators at DU. This all simply means she loves school and knows how to navigate systems so we are best able to focus on the joys of learning.

Nicci is also the mother of three daughters she raised while attending school, and a first-generation daughter of a Marine, so she understands the challenges presented to many adult learners. She is passionate about fostering kindness and curiosity in the world, and can help you discover the best ways to cultivate those qualities in yourself.

In her free time, she enjoys the good things: food, conversation, music, art, and nature.
