Hi! My name is Ren Dalsey. I am a junior studying biology education. I hope to become a high school teacher one day and inspire my students with the wonders of science and learning. Once I’m settled in a job as a teacher, I plan to come back to school and work towards a graduate degree in microbiology. I absolutely adore teaching and encourage everyone to learn every day! Before coming to Colorado State University, I lived in Colorado Springs. After moving up to Fort Collins, I knew that this was the place for me. I joined initially to pursue a degree in biology with the hope of becoming a researcher one day.
I initially approached Lisa asking if they had any tutoring volunteer positions, explaining I would love to help students with any of their growing edges in regard to their studies. I was thrilled to hear that she wanted to offer me a job. I now have the additional honor of serving as a peer advisor for this amazing team and community! If ever you need any support with your academics, please do not hesitate to reach out and I will do my best to help- whether it be pointing you to resources or running study workshops where we can learn how to improve our studying habits and skills.
A personal passion of mine are videogames, especially indie games created by small teams of developers! I am particularly partial to turn-based RPGs like Darkest Dungeon, but also love casual games like Stardew Valley! If you want to geek out about games, I would be more than happy to!
