Sara Marie Horn
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY where I received a BA in Communication & Culture; which I realized quickly wasn’t the exact path for me. I worked at a community college for about 8 years before I left. I knew in my heart the big city just wasn’t for me but I had no idea where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do. So, I took my completely clueless self and moved to Minot, ND to be with my sister. I struggled during my time in Minot and decided in 2016 to take a trip to Europe for the summer to clear my head and explore a bit. On my return, I made the choice to go back to school for a second degree in Environmental Horticulture with a concentration in Landscape Design & Contracting and a minor in business. A few months after being accepted to CSU Online, I find myself living in Fort Collins and working here at ALVS.
I enjoy being in nature, teaching myself Korean (still a novice), writing in my spare time and learning whenever I can!
I was born here in Colorado but spent my childhood in Hawaii where my father was an MP in the United States Army. In my early twenties, I became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in numerous nursing facilities throughout Fort Collins. In 2016, I decided to go back to school and pursue social work here at CSU. In the summer of 2017, I married a wonderful man and we are now a blended family of six. Recently, I was admitted to the MSW graduate program here at CSU and wish to pursue a career in medical social work. In my free time, I enjoy writing and reading. My family’s hobbies include; skiing, swimming, going on hikes and we often go play bingo in Loveland CO. I’ve worked at ALVS since May 2017 and am very humbled to have the opportunity to work with such great people.
My name is Steven O’Neal, I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps Infantry before moving back to my home in Gillette, Wyoming. After which I made the move to Colorado to experience new things. I transferred to CSU in fall of 2017. I am currently double majoring in Natural Resources Management and Forestry. I currently work the front desk in the ALVS as well as the Financial Officer for the SVO. I have a service dog named Jasmine and enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, working on my truck, shooting, and cooking.
