Interests/Future Goals: My favorite activities are hiking, biking, and skiing! I also love to read and bake. After I finish my undergraduate degree at CSU, I plan to pursue a Master’s degree in dietetics. In the future, I hope to be a pediatric dietitian.

Interests/Future Goals: After graduation, I would like to pursue graduate school to become a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS). I want to take that degree and work in a Children’s Hospital. I love to be outdoors, camping in Colorado’s backcountry, making arts and crafts, spending time with my family, as well as trying new foods!

Interests/Future Goals:

My passion is my future career as a Child Life Specialist. Besides working with children,

I enjoy spending time with my dog, friends, and family. I also enjoy stitching and other

crafty projects. My short time at CSU has been amazing and has helped me grow as a

person so much, thank you for allowing your family to be a part of that! I have the

deepest love for my RKV family and my fellow CSU Rams!

Future Goals: I would love to work with children as a Child Life Specialist.

 

Sunnique Cortez

 

 

Major: Human Development and Family Studies, concentration in Prevention and Intervention Sciences, minor in Women’s studies

Class: Sophomore

Home Town: Denver/Aurora, Colorado

Interests: My interests and hobbies include, hanging out with family and friends, doing art projects, or just enjoying the outdoors. I love nature and waterfalls, I am also a huge dog lover! I enjoy working and being around kids, I am the oldest of nine, so I’ve constantly been around kids (I love it!).  After I graduate from CSU, I hope to go to graduate school to get my masters in either social work, or marriage and family therapy. I would love to work in the foster care system, as well as working with children and adolescents in low-income neighborhoods. I would also love to work at City Year (a program that works with at risk youth).

Future Goals: My future goals include working with children of all ages and different backgrounds and to find ways to help educate them about college, as well as motivate them with their personal future goals.

Interests/Future Goals: My future goal is to get a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and open a practice that specializes in Parent/child Interaction Therapy. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with others!

Interests/Future Goals:  My goals are to go to graduate school to earn my master’s degree in social work or as a child life specialist in HDFS. I would like to work as a child life specialist because it will give me the opportunity to work with children and families in a hospital.

Interests/Future Goals: I enjoy traveling, hiking, skiing, and exploring. After graduating, I hope to teach kindergarten, first, or second grade and eventually return to school to obtain a master’s degree in Special Education. I hope to work with Teach for America or a similar organization for a few years in order to experience a new place and then return to Colorado.
