Jamila Bryant - PAVE
My name is Jamila Bryant. I am a second year graduate student in the Master of Public Health program at the Colorado School of Public Health. I will be graduating in May 2017 with a concentration in Physical Activity and Healthy Lifestyles.
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA (Go Eagles, Go Phillies, Go Flyers, Go Sixers!). I later moved to South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) with my family. I completed my B.S. in Exercise Science from Lander University in Greenwood, SC in 2002. After graduating college, I joined the Air Force in May 2003.
I served six years and three months on active duty in the Transportation field. During my active duty years, I was stationed at Luke AFB, AZ, Osan AB, South Korea, Spangdahlem AB, Germany and Hill AFB, UT. I deployed twice on active duty to Kuwait in 2007 and to Kyrgyzstan Republic in 2009. After separating from active duty in Aug 2009, I joined the Air Force Reserves and currently still serve as a Citizen Airman assigned to Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs. I have deployed once since being in the Reserves to Kyrgyzstan in 2013.
I enjoy working out, playing sports, attending sporting events, learning, writing quotes, listening to music, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends. I am passionate about leadership, health/wellness, and professional development. I consider myself a “Life-Long Learner” and find pleasure in engaging in opportunities where I can develop myself to be a better human being and more effective leader.

I'm a student veteran majoring in Psychology and Equine Science, and minoring in Business Administration. I started at CSU in January 2013 and graduating in the summer of 2018. I'm one of the Peer Advisors on the P.A.V.E. team for incoming transfer students at CSU. Fort Collins is a great place to be while going to school. It's the perfect place for the outdoors-man.
